Bae Dina Gonlibo was once a Seventh-day Adventist. She backslid from the Adventist faith for
four years and she became interested in another religious group.
One day as she was scanning the radio dial, she happened to
tune in to a religious program that caught her interest. Then she became an avid listener to that
program. What excited her most was the
radio lecturer who claimed that he could heal all sorts of sicknesses. He further emphasized that he had talked to
God. When Bae Dina heard these words
from the lecturer, she was fascinated and wanted to listen to every one of the
program lectures. She even invited her
brothers, sisters, and also her in-laws to listen. For a long time they daily listened to this
program until they decided to submit for baptism. So an appointment was set for a meeting with
the lecturer.
One night, Bae Dina had a dream. She saw the lecturer of the radio
program. He was very big and tall. On his forehead was written the number “666”
and he had horns, a tail, fangs, and his eyes were like fire. She was so scared that she screamed and then
she awoke from her sleep. She did not
see any meaning to the dream and attributed the nightmare to her tiredness
during the day.
The bad dream did not change her decision to meet the
lecturer. Then a strange thing
happened. The same dream occurred three
successive nights and even during her nap at noontime. She could not bear her fears anymore so she
decided to tell her in-laws, brothers, and sister about her dream. They all felt frightened also. They decided not to meet with the lecturer
and stopped listening to that radio program.
